Merial J 5 •VAC™is a killed E. Coli vaccine for the vaccination of healthy cattle as an aid in protection against mastitis caused by E. Coli and the effects of endotoxemia caused by E. Coli and Salmonella typhimurium. DOSAGE: Inject SQ or IM. As an aid in protection against mastitis caused by E. Coli, vaccinate at 7 mths. of gestation or at dry off with 2ml (1 dose) followed by a second 2 ml dose 1 to 3 weeks before calving. Revaccinate annualy as above. As an aid in prevention of the effects of endotoxemia, whole herd vaccination may be done at any time. Vaccinate with 2ml (1 dose) followed by a second 2ml dose 2 to 4 weeks later. Revaccinate annually as above or as veterinarian directed. Calves vaccinated under 3 mths of age should be revaccinated at 4 to 6 months or at weaning. Do not freeze. DO NOT vaccinate within 21 days of slaughter.
